چکیده

The issue of resource allocation for MSE minimization in a DS/CDMA amplify-and-forward relayassisted interference channel is addressed in this paper. The resource allocation process is assumed to take place in a hierarchical way. First, the relay announces his amplifyand-forward matrix, and then the multiple access users non-cooperatively react to the relay’s choice. This process is modeled by a two-level Stackelberg game, with the relay as the leader, and the multiple access users as followers. The Nash equilibria for the non-cooperative game played by the followers for a given relay matrix are derived, and optimum relay matrix design is carried out. Numerical results confirm the theoretical findings, showing the merits of the proposed resource allocation techniques.

Relay-Assisted Spectrum and Infrastructure Sharing between Multiple Operators

Relay-assisted physical resource sharing has the potential to improve the spectral efficiency, enhance the coverage, and decrease the expenditures for operators. By sharing the infrastructure (relay) and the spectrum, a new type of interference is created on the physical layer. Handling the interference demands novel physical layer techniques that are investigated in SAPHYRE project. In this pa...

Game-theoretic power control in DS-CDMA wireless networks with successive interference cancellation

Introduction: Multiuser detection in wireless networks has attracted much attention [1] and of particular note is successive interference cancellation (SIC) [2], which is scalable and implementable. Under SIC detection, the reconstructed received signals of users detected first (often those with comparatively high received power) are cancelled from the composite signal to aid in the detection o...

Efficient Interference Suppression and Resource Allocation in MIMO and DS-CDMA Wireless Networks

Direct-sequence code-divisionmultiple-access (DS-CDMA) and multiple-inputmultipleoutput (MIMO) wireless networks form the physical layer of the current generation of mobile networks and are anticipated to play a key role in the next generation of mobile networks. The improvements in capacity, data-rates and robustness that these networks provide come at the cost of increasingly complex interfer...

Power Allocation In Cooperative Relay Channels

This paper concerns power allocation in relay-assisted wireless channels for two-hop transmission. First, the transmitter sends the information to both the relay and receiver parts. Next, in the second hop, the transmitter cooperates with the relay to increase the received signal to noise ratio (SNR), assuming the relay makes use of the Amplify and Forward (AF) strategy. Moreover, it is assumed...

Bit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
